for Reiki Practitioners

Throughout the years we have been
teaching Reiki, we have gotten feedback from our students that
they would love to have the opportunity to practice more in a
class-like scenario and receive more individual instruction and
guidance, particularly at the Master and Master Teacher level.
So, along with all
the other changes at The Meta Institute, our Reiki Master &
Reiki Master Teacher Certification classes will also be positively
impacted. Starting in 2002 we will be requiring our Reiki Master
students to complete 50 hours of practice before taking the
Reiki Master course. This practice does not have to necessarily
be with paid clients. The practice hours can be done either
after Reiki I or II training or a combination of both. The practice
can be done with friends, family, colleagues, Reiki Shares,
or volunteer work. The cost of the course will remain the same
and the 50 hours can be documented by simply having the person
you worked on sign a log sheet. This will allow our Reiki Master
students to be more prepared for the next level of work and
attunements with future clients.
The other exciting
news about our Reiki Programming is the addition of a Supervised
Internship for our Reiki Master Teacher Certification. After
a student has taken the Reiki Master Teacher class, they will
then be required to assist at a Reiki I & Reiki II class. In
the role of assistant/apprentice, the student will participate
in doing attunements, answering questions and providing guidance
during practice sessions. The student will also participate
in several briefings with the instructors throughout the day.
During these meetings the student apprentice will have the opportunity
to ask questions and share information about their observations
and learnings during class. This will allow the student apprentice
to take the information learned in their Master Teacher training
and experience and process it on a different level for a deeper
learning experience. The Reiki Master Teacher graduates will
also receive a complete set of Reiki I, II & Master level manuals
to teach from (these will also be available on disk).
The Reiki Master Teacher
Program, including the supervised internship will be $275. For
those who have already taken these courses with us and are interested
in the supervised internship we will offer a discounted price
(please call us for details). We are excited about the improvements
